Dynamic disk features includes its ability to create volumes & fault tolerant volumes on Microsoft Operating System. It was introduced with Windows 2000 and is of five types such as simple mirrored, spanned, stripped and RAID 5 volume. The volumes on dynamic disk are also known as dynamic volumes. It offers great flexibility for volume management because they track information using database about dynamic volumes on the disk and also other dynamic disk in computer. It is enriched with so many features including volume spanning & multi partitioned volume that basic partition does not have. You can also re-size volume partition without formatting. The Logical Disk manager of Windows Operating System manages the dynamic disk. But sometimes this reliablity and most widely used partitioning method in Windows may create problems. While trying to re-install Operating System, you may get an error message stating “Windows XP cannot recognize the partition you selected.” You may encounter this error message because Windows Operating System cannot be installed in dynamic disk partition always. It occurs only if MBR entry of partition is not present for dynamic partition. You can fix this critical issue by deleting existing primary partition. When you erase this partition, it will return to basic partition. At that time, your Operating System will generate warning stating that partition you deleted is on dynamic disk and if you perform this operation it makes other partition on the disk unusable. Accidental partition deletion is also not safe as it will delete all files that are stored on the partition and lead to loss of files. In such case using Partition Undelete program is the best way to perform dynamic partition recovery. You can also visit this page, to undelete NTFS partition data by making use of recovery tool. But before that let us discuss some other reasons that may lead to data loss from dynamic partition. They are:
- Boot sector Virus: It is quite common issue behind partition corruption. It may damage the essential element of MBR and make the partition inaccessible and unreadable.
- Common Human Errors: Partition may get deleted or lost due to human mistakes like accidentally deleting unwanted partition using Windows Disk Management tool instead of other partition, choosing wrong partition to format at the time of re-installation of operating system, improper usage of the USB drives like improperly disconnecting USB drive from the system while some files on the USB drive partitions are still in access may also lead to data loss.
- File System Corruption: You may also encounter error message while performing partitioning or repartitioning operation on hard disk, so there is high chance of file system corruption due to which files in the drive becomes inaccessible.
All this critical issue can be solved by using Partition Recovery tool. It is prominent software to restore files from dynamic partition and can also recover lost files from NTFS, FAT16, FAT32, etc. file system. Partition Undelete tool is also capable of restoring various types of file like songs, videos, documents, photos etc. from the damaged partitions. It can also sort the restored files on the basis of file name, size, and creation date. It easily employs to restore deleted partition or lost partition on all versions of Windows Operating System within a few mouse clicks. You can also get back missing files from various models of external hard drives such as Seagate, Western Digital, Maxtor and Buffalo. You just need to go to the site to get more info about this.
Steps to perform dynamic partition recovery:
Step 1: Launch the installed program and once you launched it you will find three options in the welcome screen among which you have to select “Recover Drives” option after that, you need to select “Partition Recovery” option.
